SPIN GAME
10-week Program for Spin-Focused Aerial Hoopers
Live Coaching. Unlimited Feedback. Community Connections.
Spin game is my 10-week, small group, virtual hoop program designed to help experienced aerialists build a solid repertoire of spinning skills. I'll share techniques and theories about things I consider fundamental and beyond for a spin-focused, seasoned hoop artist. From flares to spinning mounts; fast spins and moving through tricky spin pathways, Spin Game will stack your aerial toolbox, increase your movement comprehension and unlock possibilities. If your spin work feels like a lot of guessing and not a lot of certainty, this program will lay a foundation for you. This is not your average one-off spin workshop. This is highly specialized, spin-focused education with guided research prompts and individualized support. It’s a revolutionary online program that delivers extensive clarity and tools to sky rocket your possibilities in the air for years to come. If you’re a seasoned hooper who’s ready to build a relationship with spinning like you never imagined, I created Spin Game for you.
APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED. NEXT CYCLE STARTS: 2025

WHY SPIN GAME?
Hi, I’m Brit. International aerial hoop coach and mentor to artists and instructors. Over the last 15 years, I’ve found that spin focused classes are few and far between. The coaching I wanted for the style of hoop I‘m interested in required travel or online instruction. Before virtual aerial resources were widely recognized as a significant learning tool, I was constantly in a state of guessing. I was hungry for more than I had access to.
I created Spin Game because I know there are other people like me. People who are irrevocably in love with this art and longing for support and connection. Many aerial studios don’t offer spinning focused classes. I’ve seen it time and time again. To be fair, a spin-focused class on the weekly schedule in a recreational studio space is not the easiest class to fill. Spinning at higher levels is largely a choice. I get it, spinning isn’t for everyone. BUT IT IS FOR ME.
The path I’ve taken to get where I am today was not all rainbows and butterflies. At times I felt totally lost—burnt out from chasing dreams that didn’t belong to me. The last 4 years have been the most joyful of my life. I found my people. I hired mentors and coaches who ultimately saved me from quitting. I had to get clear on my values. I had to decide what really mattered to me in my training. I sought out as much education as I could handle. I dialed in on my goals. Through it all, I’ve learned that carving my own path doesn’t mean I have to do it alone. I’ve discovered that I never want to stop learning and my passion for coaching is stronger than it’s ever been.
Spin Game is coming to life as a way to share what I love, what I’ve found along the way in my training and what I wish I knew earlier in my career. It’s a way to connect with my community and grow along side them. It’s a way to support aerialists and coaches who resonate with my experiences and are craving a way to keep showing up. The 10-week format aligns with my belief that what we do as aerialists takes time. Building a student-coach relationship takes time. Research takes time. I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to share brave space with you.

Hear it from Spin Game Alumni...
“Spin Game was everything I expected it to be and more. The most comprehensive aerial training I’ve ever received. Each week was super informative and a whole lot of fun. If you want to level up your spin game Brit is the master you’ve been looking for! Glad I had the courage to sign up, hard skills were broken down and made accessible. I felt safe and supported even from half way across the world.”
“Brit is hands down one of the best aerial coaches I have ever worked with. Her attention to detail, her library of cues and problem solving is next level.”
“I’ll be forever grateful to @aerial_firebird for creating a space where we were free to explore, to fail, to succeed, to come up with something new, try things that didn’t work and take home movements that belonged to US, without any external pressure or expectation.”
“Spin Game was everything I’ve ever wanted to learn about spinning and SO much more. Brit provides a clear path through the world of spin technique with plenty of detours for exploration and self-expression in a safe space where I felt free to ask questions and receive feedback from other participants. Not only have I walked away with lifetime access to the incredibly thoughtful and complete course material, but I’ve also left with a sense of community in the other Spin Baddies. This is spinning... on a spiritual level!”
“I had high hopes for the experience as I’d been lucky enough to have trained with @aerial_firebird online before. My expectations were knocked clean out of the park. ”
“Brit is a freaking movement GURU... this program was tailored perfectly for spin lovers and will forever change my SPIN GAME.”
“Spin Game was absolutely incredible! Brit launched the programme at a time I was really struggling to feel inspired in my own practice. Even though I loved aerial hoop with my whole heart, I knew I didn’t really enjoy scary drops and dynamics were exhausting. I knew I liked spin and flow but I didn’t know where go with it, as I had no experienced coaches who taught that way in my part of the world. But this amazing Spin Game course gave me all my next steps! I feel passionate about my craft again and have a massive list of new, exciting and challenging things to work on! I now know exactly where I am headed in my practice. I am soooo grateful to have had the chance to work with the wonderful Brit and through this course to have met so many like-minded hoop artists! Such an amazing experience! Thank you Brit!”
“Brit is such a wonderful coach. Whenever you work with her you can immediately tell how much time and energy she puts into everything she does. Her coaching is backed by personal research of figuring her way through things, which makes her capable of walking you through them and troubleshooting your roadblocks in a way that many coaches can’t. She is also endlessly supportive and creates such a positive and uplifting community around her that you can’t help but feel encouraged and inspired.”
“Spin Game was an amazing deep dive into everything spinning. Brit does a great job of creating a supportive environment where everyone can explore to their full potential.”
“Working with Brit has been a revolution for me. The space that she creates is all about exploring movement in a safe environnement where nothing is right or wrong and she makes you feel comfortable with your own body and abilities. I have learned so much during Spin Game and wish it was still going on as I really enjoyed it in every way!”
“Brit has not only revolutionized my spin technique, but she’s completed changed the way I view spinning in my aerial practice. She has taught me the beauty and freedom of spinning just for the sake of spinning, of not rushing to a destination, and of enjoying the journey. I feel like I’ve discovered so much more freedom in my aerial practice and am able to enjoy hoop more than I did before, whether or not I’m spinning. ”
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This program is worth every penny for the amount of in depth processes and information we went through over three months. Skill wise, I have gained so many things I will continue to incorporate and work on long after Spin Game. I found the environment over live to be very welcoming and a safe gentle place to train and learn through Brit and her instruction. She was great at reminding us take care of our bodies and check in with our mental state as well. Over live she made a point to watch each person and gave excellent cues that lead to everyone’s growth. She gave feedback to everyone outside of live as well and had amazing patience and capacity for every question! This program, although in a group, will allow you to be seen and improve on an individual level. As a coach myself, it was a huge treat to be coached with direct cues and care.”
“Spin game improved my technique, my performance, and also the way I coach my own students. I have a much deeper understanding of all things spin now and I’m so excited to keep exploring and see what’s next.”
“Spin Game was the perfect balance of theory and play, and has greatly enhanced my capabilities within my hoop practice! The amount of content will allow me to keep exploring well after the time frame of the class!”
“Brit reads me too damn well but uses her superpowers to help me progress and feel accomplished every time. When I started training with her, I remember saying that even when life beat me down, her lessons helped me find that joy and re-centering that I needed.”
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Time commitment: Baseline minimum is at least 2 hours each week for live sessions/recordings, plus any pre-class warm up/prep you might need. However, outside of live sessions, you'll receive research/creative assignments to work through on your own. Assignments (I call them LABS in the program) are not tests but are intended to help you soak in and expand on program topics. To make the most of our 10-weeks together, I strongly recommend treating Spin Game as your main aerial focus throughout the program. If you can, you might try allotting 4-6 hours per week to Spin Game material. Example: 2 hours for live classes/recordings, 2-4 hours research/development throughout the week, outside of class times. Be careful to consider that increasing your training load too fast can increase risk of injury. Spin work is taxing on the shoulders, I will encourage you to give them extra love during the program. It's best NOT to add Spin Game on top of a fully packed aerial schedule. Consider cutting back on aerial classes to focus on spin work. Instead, try choosing ground based, mobility, pushing (ie: handstands, weight lifting, prehab) classes to accompany your Spin Game work. It's helpful to focus on bent arm/pulling/climbing vs. heavy long arm hanging in any additional aerial training you choose to partake in during the program. Overtraining is not your friend. Remember, rest is training.

I recommend you join classes live to get the most out of this program. Access to equipment is ideal but not a requirement. You are encouraged to join live even without equipment. Classes include both lecture and application and provide a variety of learning opportunities with or without equipment access. Lifetime access to the recordings means you’ll have plenty of time to physically move through material on a schedule that works for you.
-
I’ve been known to utilize a variety of training tools in my classes. Some items that might be useful include mobility bands, yoga blocks, foam roller, peanut and aerial straps. I’ll notify the group ahead of time when props might be helpful.
-
Spin Game is a hoop program but there are options to use aerial straps at certain times to enhance your experience and save your grip capacity. Straps are one of my favorite tools for spin training. If you have access to them, I highly recommend having your straps handy for this program. If you do not have straps, don’t worry. They are not a requirement. A hoop that can be rigged at multiple heights is the only piece of aerial equipment you truly need.
-
Spin Game is not a choreography program. Due to the nature of the material, there are plenty of opportunities to string movements together, work creatively and develop sequences with spinning skills. However, sequences are not the main objective.
-
Ideally, you’ll be able to work at various heights ranging from very high to as low as possible. Having the ability to easily change the height of your rigging will be extra beneficial. If you don’t have the height you need during live classes, you’ll have the recordings and be able to work through the material when the height is available to you. I’m always available for feedback on your work but I’ll give you as many options as I can when you join live for any height restrictions you might have.
-
Live attendance is not required but is STRONGLY suggested whether you have access to equipment at class times or not. Live classes provide a variety of ways to learn and get real time cues from me but you’ll have access to me for feedback and support in the group, even if you can’t make every class.
-
Check the pre-requisites on the Spin Game Application. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out.
-
In our group chat, I’ll send reminders about class times and take a roll call for live attendees each week. If something comes up, you can drop it in the chat or message me privately. You’ll get the recordings every single week.
-
One off private lessons will be available for Spin Game cycle members during the 10-week coarse. This is a BONUS! I don’t offer one-off virtual privates very often! Most of my 1-1 clients work with me in cycles. Mentoring sessions and private lessons will be available to you at an additional cost. During the program, cycle members get priority on my schedule.
-
The app is called Discord and can be downloaded on your phone or computer or both.
-
ABSOLUTELY! Participation in the closed group chat is encouraged for all cycle members. It’s such a fun place to build connections and brain dump about your experiences with fellow spin baddies!
-
Video feedback for program material is unlimited during the 10-week coarse. If you want my eyes on your work, you can send it anytime! Feedback from me will be delivered back to you within my determined office hours. This is one of the best perks of the program!
-
Yes! You can choose to make 3 monthly payments or save a little when you pay in full!
-
How does forever sound? Real time coaching and feedback from me concludes at the end of our 10 weeks together but lifetime access to class recordings allows you to return to the material as often as you like!

Spin Game is packed with material that will spark ideas and give you concepts to explore in your classes but teaching Spin Game material exactly as it is presented, selling, copying or sharing slides/recordings/video content IS NOT permitted. Treating Spin Game material as a curriculum for your classes/studio IS NOT PERMITTED. I invite coaches to move through the program as a student themselves first. This is not a teacher training program but it is continued education for practicing aerialists and provides immense value to coaches. Spin Game is not for coaches just looking to snag quick class material. As with everything, comprehension requires time. Attempting to teach theories and methods used in Spin Game the same week you learn it is not ideal for you or your students. Having said that, a majority of my students are coaches and I encourage my people to use any continued education experience (like Spin Game) as fuel to inspire their own teaching. I coach to the people in front of me. What your students need might be completely different. I guarantee you’ll gain tools to help your students progress, just ask the alumni. I wish to support you as much as possible and see you grow in all aspects of your aerial career. Please consider supporting me with that same kindness in mind. I deeply appreciate shout outs in the classroom and on social media when it feels relevant to do so. Your support helps me continue creating. If you have questions or need more clarity on this, please email me. brit@aerialfirebird.com

You’ll see the full list of suggested prerequisites on the application and be asked to provide your IG handle so I can get my eyes on your current training. If you haven’t posted any recent training videos or don’t use social media, you may be asked to provide additional videos to show me a few skills and/or a short spinning sequence. I want to make sure this program is right for you.
